Jesse Tree activity  Saturday, Dec. 4, at 6:00 pm

Jesus was of the house and lineage of David;  therefore he was a descendant of Jesse, David's father, and a part of his family tree.  The Jesse Tree provides Old Testament symbols that tell stories predicting the coming of the Messiah.

On Saturday evening, Dec. 4 beginning at 6:00 pm we will be putting up a Jesse Tree in our parish hall.  The tree will be decorated with symbols of the Old Testament.  After Fr. Wayne briefly explains the meaning behind each symbol, you will have an opportunity to choose a symbol to decorate.  The evening will end with the tree being decorated with the Old         Testament symbols.  The Jesse Tree will then  be blessed and  the lights from the tree will serve as an Advent  reminder of the coming of Christ.

Refreshments will be available during the evening and this special Advent activity should prove to be a fun evening for parishioners of all ages.

Finance Committee Meeting, Sunday, Dec. 5

following the 10:00 am service.
