Many Are Called to Serve at Ascension
Parishioners at Ascension are very involved in all aspects of
Parish life. Members participate in the worship services as choir
members, lay readers and lectors, acolytes, torch bearers,
ushers and greeters and by invitation as Chalice Bearers. Our
Church School Teachers and Child Care providers are committed
to bringing our children into the life of Christ and the parish.
Other parishioners enhance our worship experience through
service on the Altar Guild, as keeper of the gardens, and by
supporting the work of the Parish Administrator.
Ascension members are also actively involved in community
outreach by supporting Sunday Supper each week and the
Jonnycake Center. The members of the ECW provide support for
many community efforts including the Daffodil Sale for the
American Cancer Society. The Youth Group at Ascension will be
walking for the Alzheimer’s Association this fall and many parish
members have pledged their support to this effort.
